Contestants will participate in this fun competition and make fresh salsa in one of three categories – Hot, Mild and Anything Goes! Each day a champion is determined by a panel of professional and celebrity judges in a double-blind contest based on aroma, consistency, appropriate heat level, color, taste, and after taste.  The champion for each day will receive a $1,000 prize in addition to bragging rights.  On Sunday there will be a judge-off between the Saturday Champion and the Sunday Champion to determine the Grand Champion.

Champions will be invited to compete at Chase Field during the Cinco de Mayo D-backs Fiesta Ultimate Salsa Challenge. The winner of the Cinco de Mayo D-backs Fiesta Ultimate Salsa Challenge will get a D-backs Suite for 18 people, a Personalized Jersey and more! 

Additional cash prizes will be awarded to
the 1st ($500), 2nd ($250) and 
3rd ($100) place winners in the Individual Hot, Individual Mild and Individual Anything Goes categories, as well as the Best of Show ($100).

2018 Contestant Information:

All Salsas need to be prepared on-site. Pre-made or pre-mixed salsa will be disqualified from the competition.
You will need to make 13 gallons of salsa (for attendee consumption) per day you are competing.

Individual Contestant:

Single Day: $35 for your first recipe / $15 each additional recipe
OR
Saturday & Sunday: $40 for your first recipe / $15 each additional recipe

Business / Restaurant Contestant:

Single Day: $100 for your first recipe / $25 each additional recipe
OR
Saturday & Sunday: $125 for your first recipe / $25 each additional recipe
