The 33rd Annual My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge is a two-day-long festival featuring the #1 condiment in the U.S. – Salsa! This annual culinary competition features over one hundred freshly made salsas and professional “chefs” will compete for the judge’s vote while attendees enjoy all the chips and salsa they can eat! The Salsa Challenge proudly features restaurants, businesses and individuals competing to make the best tasting salsa in their category. More than 20,000 people are expected to come and taste freshly made salsas, listen to live music, enjoy margaritas, cold beers, and vote for their favorite salsa chef.
My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge is the largest annual fundraiser for the Arizona Hemophilia Association. The Arizona Hemophilia Association is a volunteer-based 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with inherited bleeding disorders, while advocating for a cure.

$15 Gate includes all you can eat chips and salsa. Enjoy mild and hot salsa from competitors in all categories: individual, business and restaurant.
$55 VIP includes entrance into the VIP tent, food and complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Children under the age of 12 are free – must be accompanied by an adult.

Don’t want to drive? Take the Metro Light Rail to Central and Indian School.
Dogs are permitted in Steele Indian School Park. Owners must comply with City of Phoenix and Maricopa County regulations including having the dog leashed, attended and licensed.
The grand champion will win a $1,000 cash prize. Attendees can vote for their favorites with dollars through the People’s Choice Award.
Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix-Off
A separate competition within the event is the Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix-Off, which takes place from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Bartenders show off their talents to win the judge’s vote for best Margarita.
Kids can also enjoy a day of fun at the event’s KidZone, featuring interactive activities for the entire family including multiple bounce houses, carnival swings, inflatable obstacle course and more. Wristbands are $10 for all-day play or individual ride tickets can be purchased for just $1! Rides range from 1-5 tickets.
