Salsa Contestants

2020 CONTESTANT INFORMATION COMING SOON:

All Salsas need to be prepared on-site. Pre-made or pre-mixed salsa will be disqualified from the competition. You will need to make 13 gallons of salsa.

Whether you’re an individual that has an old family recipe, a Valley business / restaurant who wants to showcase your famous salsa, or a non-profit that wants to spread the word about their organization, this challenge is for you. Each freshly made salsa will be judged in one of three categories – Hot, Mild and Anything Goes! A champion is determined by a panel of professional and celebrity judges in a double-blind contest based on aroma, consistency, appropriate heat level, color, taste, and after taste.

This third category is for qualified 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations to make salsa, raise awareness and fund raise at the same time! First, second and third place winners will receive a cash donation back to their organization.

*These costs are deposits and will be refundable with a copy of your 501 (c)3 determination letter and attendance to the event.
